Diamond was the largest elephant that I ever saw. When I first saw him with RBBB in Atlanta in 1955 he was only a small punk.
He was also the sire of the first two African calves to be born and and survive in the USA.
Before Diamond's calves were born, two female Africans at Busch Gardens had been pregnant and were well along when both died suddenly before giving birth
You sure I didn't send you this about 1977 or 78?
