These are Dave & Lois's two sons taken on Easter Sunday in 1972. Sadly, Gary passed away 3 years later from an illness. He was a fine young man, and had once told me that he wanted to be a wild animal trainer himself.
Gary was a very sharp young man. I remember once Dave was giving me a run down on the cats from Beatty's act that he had acquired and he had to ask Gary for some help about one or two of them.
You recall Lois' dad Roger Barnes passed away the same time Gary did. I think he had a heart attack in his car after they called him about Gary's death.

Years later George spent quite
a long time in the grab & grease
joint just outside the marquee
with Dennis Walker who had been
with Dave for years before that
Gary had a malignant brain tumor
The whole family were some of the
nicest people in the business
The Hoovers took me with them for a visit to Gary's mausoleum, before we departed DeLand for the 1981 tour.
