"Yasso" #2

Scan12040, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

From the 1929 RBBB Program. Elephant acts performed in 3 rings and on two stages, during which "Yasso" did an assortment of tricks up and down the front track, culminated by a "head-carry", the first done in this country.

How does one define a herd of elephants? In the 60's, CBCB had three herds of performing elehants, ie. 3 in each ring.
Bob Kitto
PS: Maybe that means more than 2.
A gaggle of geese wopuld be 3 and
pod of whales would be 3.

That was all one herd Bob and

not the same each year of the 60s

Mostly there were 3 in ring 1

5 in ring 2 and 4 or 5 in ring 3

Maude Kate & Helen were the old

ladies in 1 Sid who led the herd

when I first started was moved

to either King Or Sells & Gray

and Pete became the lead in 2

with Bee Sue Gyp & Konti

The punks in 3 came a little

later Dina Frieda Jewel & Jackie

I think I got them mostly right

Rex & Eva were there early 60s

Then Freddy & Family took over

(Buckles please correct)
