This looks like Colossus in Sells Floto’s 1932 menagerie.
Isn’t that a quarter pole angling upwards in the background. I’ve read or head it said that on S-F in ’32 the sea elephant was exhibited in the menagerie.
On RBBB from 1928 through 1931 it was kept in backyard in a canvas tank inside a tent. The RBBB patrons only saw it when it made its circle around the hippodrome track.
