Milwaukee Parade #1 (From Ralph Pierce)

Parade1, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Buckles,
Wagons left Baraboo for Milwaukee over the last several days, all arrived in good shape before Wednesday according to David Deppe (in charge of transportation and a life long friend and supporter of CWM) This year the wagons moved by truck like the first days of the Old Milwaukee Circus Parade by Schlitz back in the early '60's. Openning night was last night in Milwaukee for the Festival and the activities. John Ringling North II had his Kelly-Miller Festival Circus give it first performance at 8PM and the crowd almost filled the tent and had a great evening. Mike Nocks free show on the Midway played to a great crowd for the first festival day. The lot looks great and there are people everywhere. More to come from Milwaukee.

Everyone needs to check with their local PBS stations as not all of them are showing the parade this year. Its too bad as it is in Hi-def this year and with Mr Fred Pfenning III doing some of the background on the circus units. I have not found it available at our PBS station, but the Milwaukee station does, and their web site is offering a dvd of the parade. MPTV.org is how I found them. Does anyone know if any of the 28.45 for the dvd go to the parade fund?
