Hi Buckles
Did you have more than 1 leopard
Please tell us something about
this georgeous creature (and I
refer to the one on the left)
(As we all know about the one
on the right)
I'm not sure how we got in the leopard business. In 1972 we only had "Anna May" and Barbara bought a leopard cub to add some flash to the act.
Over the years she had three spotted cats, the first one, "Nirvana" was the best, "Odin", the male in the picture, was the most impressive in appearance and "Venus" remained rather small.
Overall these cats were never much of a problem so Barbara decided to add a black leopard. Jim Clubb is right, a totally different animal, the word that best described him was "sullen".
We were in rehearsal in Venice and Gunther and I were having a chat when Barbara rushed by with "Venus" on a leash saying, "Hold this cat, I'm late for a wardrobe fitting!"
While continuing our conversation something startled the cat and she took off. Despite my frantic Mexican Hat Dance, she managed to get the leash wrapped around my legs and then bit me on the calf.
After order had been restored I noticed that Gunther was doing his best to keep a straight face.
All he could say was, "I must go." and after taking a few steps he turned and added, "You better get a shot for that bite."
