Robinson Military Elephants #1

When the Robinson family closed their circus following the 1911 season, most of the equipment was sold but the elephants were so well trained that they were retained.
Their original trainer, Tim Buckley, had trained them to do an assortment of skits such as the "barber shop", play musical instruments and a military number whereby a war scene was enacted, a cannon fired, a soldier rescued from the battlefield, the German flag lowered and replaced by the "Stars and Stripes".
This number was so well received that "Military Elephants" became their title.

If a military number was trained today, you could conclude by bringing in a bucket of water and having the elephant "waterboard" the prisoner.
