Such an important function for the health and well being of the animal over the years and that is why all elephants should be handled when very young and get used to foot management so when they are older they can accept tha. We used to get a big kick out of various guys who would be taking over some elephants and their comment would be "I am gonna trim their feet and re-roteenim".
