It is with regret that I forward the news that Kitty Smith passed away Thursday night in Venice, FL after a short hospital stay. Miss Kitty, as her circus friends respectfully called her, traveled and worked in the wardrobe department of the Red unit for many years, and was married to the late long-time Ringling Bros. train master Charlie Smith. Arrangements for Kitty Smith are as follows: Sunday, May 24, 2009 - Ewing Funeral Home, 140 E. I think that's because everyone knows you and trusts you with the most personal of information. It's sad that Peggy had to be the one to share this announcement with us. Miss Kitty was a wonderful, caring person who brightened many of our lives on the road. ~frank
