From Linda Holst

When Tim's children learned that their Dad was gravely ill in the hospital in Brazil, Matt promptly made arrangements to fly to San Paulo to be with him and get him safely home for full recovery. Matt arrived as quickly as possible last Tuesday morning and with his sisters Adrienne and Megan, worked diligently to get his US medical records, etc. to the doctors at the hospital. Matt was with him every available moment.

Tim was moved from ICU to a regular room on Wed. in anticipation of being stable enough to fly back to FL a few days later with Matt. Tim was able to enjoy the day with Matt and speak with both of his daughters several times on the phone. On Thurs. evening however, he suddenly had a heart attack and passed away in his son's loving arms. Heartbroken, Matt remaining in Brazil, has bravely been making the necessary arrangements and will be flying with his Dad arriving in the US tomorrow.

In addition to his many friends, Tim is well honored by his three adult children who love him very dearly. It has been a blessing for the family to have had Matt at his side this past week. The weeks ahead will be difficult and the family appreciates the care and condolences extended. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

Like many fans, we new Tim for many years. He was always gracious and kind to us. I just took a picture of Tim with Dave Kiser just a few weeks ago. We will miss him alot and could not go to a RBBB show without thinking of him. We will always remember the beautiful things he said at Pete Cimini's funeral, very moving.
Our sincere sympathy to all the Holst family.
