From KLSDAD #1

Boys and girls, moms and dads, and children of all ages, the Greatest Show on Earth is coming to Coney Island!

The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus will be staging a special salute to Brooklyn's iconic neighborhood starting June 18.

Come see Vincenta Pages and her seven snarling white Bengal tigers!

Come see the Negrey Troupe perform gravity defying feats of acrobatic awesomeness!

Come see the Urias Family and their motorcycle mayhem!

And all this for a family friendly price of $10 a ticket, which go on sale April 30.

"The Coney Island Boom-A-Ring" will run all summer on Thursdays, Fridays and the weekend until Sept. 7 and Mayor Bloomberg promised a "fantastic season for kids and families."

"Together with a host of attractions, the circus is one more reason to visit a neighborhood that offers exciting events, great food and 2.3 miles of boardwalk enjoyment for New Yorkers and visitors," Bloomberg said.

The circus tent will be set up at the corner of Surf Ave. and West 21st St., on land owned by Taconic Investment Partners.

"Attracting New Yorkers and visitors from around the world to Coney Island is a top priority this summer," said NYC & Company honcho George Fertitta.

Sending in the clowns is part of the city's grand plan to revitalize one of Brooklyn's best known neighborhoods without wiping out it's quirky charm.

The Bloomberg Administration is currently negotiating with private developers to buy up property near the famous boardwalk and build the first new amusement park in the neighborhood since Astroland closed last summer.
