Circus Kid-3, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. This is what is referred to as a “thematic cue sheet” since a few measures of music are provided for each cue. A theater’s organist or orchestra leader could either use the number called for or substitute something similar. (An old theater organist once told me that, working with just these few bars of music, he could improvise enough material to fill out the cue.) Someone posted a review of this film on-line, so apparently it is still around, although it does not seem to be generally available. Just from looking at the cue sheet, it is sometimes possible to follow the plot of a film.
