The music that accompanied this trick was a late 1960’s pop tune, the lyrics for which went, “Those were the days, my friend. We thought they’d never end.” It actually fit the gypsy mood quite nicely.
I believe "Kernaudi" did the best hind-leg walk I ever saw. Incredibly, when I worked the act 25 years later, she was still doing this trick and would jump right into it, no hesitation.

protocol in place for who gets
to name the elephants and is
there any general reasoning
for the names (other than the
obvious when named for people)
