This is one of the best presented cat acts of all time--a feast for the eyes and with Bill's scoring and the special effects, it was a dazzler. Charly's presentation was impeccable. I got a kick out of promoting his autobiography, TIGER TIGER, that came out in 1975 via Playboy Press and he enthusiastically told his story to the press as the show toured the country. as we all know, he was a real taskmaster but as you got to know him, you discovered that he also had a good sense of humor and in the annals of the circus, he was a major figure on and off the stage. When he passed eight years ago, the Independent in London did an impressive, in-depth piece on his career--worth reading.

With Bill Pruyn and his windjammers playing "Shangri-La" as the mirror ball rotated.
What a beautiful sight that was - a 20,000 seat arena filled with stars! You have to admit - the man had STYLE with a capital 'S' ~frank
It always kinda gave me goosebumps when the house went dark and the spots hit the globes. It was bright as hell standing outside of that cage then.
