In the late 1940s, Merle and the band recorded some sides for Capitol Records. (Since the Capitol studios are located in Hollywood, the sessions might have taken place when the Circus was appearing in the Los Angeles area.) Capitol issued this material as two albums: “Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus Band” . . .
