Circus Music #10

Circus Time

In the early 1950s, Merle and band recorded some sides for Decca Records. These were released in 1953 as “Circus Time.” Once again, the album was issued in all three speeds, with the 10-inch LP version having the same number of selections as the other albums.

The Columbia, Capitol and Decca albums were later reissued as 12-inch LPs, which are quite common today and fairly easy to find.

I also have the Decca "Circus Time" album, but with a different cover design. Maybe a re-issue?

The 12-inch LP re-release of CIRCUS TIME has a very nice cover that features old Ringling posters. However, someone tinkered with the equalization of the recordings because they sound harsh and distorted compared to the original 78s.
