| While I am scanning the program there is a small family tree of the Althoffs included and I am sending this along. The show closed in the 80`s and Franz opened a horse show called Zauberwald, something like a musical with horses, 60 of them to be exact. The show was very successfull and ran for quite a few years. |

We had our elephants with Rudy Bros. Circus in 1959 and late in the season we were showing a dusty, filthy fairgrounds somewhere in Arizona when the boss Rudy Jacoby, came on the lot with a lady he introduced as Elfi Althoff.
A day or so later I passed by the concession top and saw her inside, spinning floss and by the season's end she had pretty well taken over.
The following winter in Hugo I heard that Rudy and she had married.
The reason I bring this up is because I fail to see her listed in the Family Tree.
I also do not see Jackie Althoff on this list however I just feel they only have one page in the program.
After her divorce from Rudy Jacobi Elfi Althoff became the owner of the 'Austrian National Circus', a very successful show she run until her dead about 10 years ago. The reason why you don't see her name in the Family Tree is because the Tree is not complete and does not show all the children and there children.......
Elfie's Family came from one of the sons of my great great Grandfather.
Her Brother, Carl Althoff, had a big Circus in Germany and so did her nephew`s, Corty and Giovanni.She was a very smart business woman and was well respected in the European Circus World.
Jacky Althoff is a nephew of Elfi Althoff
