Good News!

Ben called and said that he would be released from the Hospital today.
He added that on his morning stroll he discovered that Joe Frisco Sr. was in the next room.
Jumpin' Joe and Jenny were visiting and spotted Ben as he walked by.
Nothing seriously wrong with Joe the elder.
Ben said it appears they wanted to get all the wrangy elephant people off to themselves.

Back when I was going to school in Columbus, Ohio, I saw Joe Frisco, Sr. present his cage act at the Aladdin Temple Shrine Circus in 1965 and again in '66. As I recall, his music was very similar to the music used by "Tarzan" Zerbini and I always wondered who borrowed from whom.

Good luck with your recovery Ben! Now comes the fun part of diet changes and just getting out and walking for the exercise. You can do it!

Eric,
Not just music, but everything, not referencing Joe Sr. but show business in general. That's a "circus question" for the ages. LOL

Thank God Ben is on the way to getting well! Who says Prayer doesn't work?

Off-Subject, but more hospital news:

One of our stage managers at Lancaster (CA) Performing Arts Center, Leanne Green, mid-20s, suffered a sudden brain hemorrhage Saturday (11/29) night, and remains in critical condition in an ICU. Leanne and her husband Justin, also employed with us, have 3 children, one just born in April. Please keep these fellow showfolks and their family in your prayers during a difficult time. Thank you.

This is great news Buckles. Blease convey our best wishes to Ben (I hesitate to call him Benney any more). Way to many good memories with Ben and Chico, You and Barbra. Prayer does work and God does look after all of us dedicate our lives to the children and the animals.

My best wishes to Ben for a speedy recovery. He and I worked together at the Village Players about ten years ago. One of the greatest moments of acting with that group in Valrico was coming on stage and seeing Buckles and his family in the audience. (I was a former candy butcher with RBBB and clown with the Wallace & Rogers show.) Have a VERY Merry Christmas!
