George W. Hall Circus 1914

What a great picture of an overland show enroute. "Pearl" would be in her upper teens by this time and a pretty nice looking elephant.
I enjoy picking out the props that are piled into the wagon.
Almost 100 years have passed and little has changed.

Not being an expert on the old shows like Dick Flint is and this being an overland show teh wagon looks to me like just a regular farm wagon.
The wheels look like they could not take the weight of a real heavy load.
I guess i am used to massive railroad show wagons that Hagenbeck-Wallace and Cole had with the St. Marys wheels and all the stuff hangin on the sides.
It sure must have been fun travelin the early roads of
America with the mud roads and weak bridges.
You must have been a great showman to keep up with your paper.
Show biz ain't it something.

Buckles;
Could this, also, been the dog wagon, hence the four small doors on the side of the wagon?

Wagons of wood and men of iron!

Buckles,
Boy, you said that right about nothing changing. Makes you wonder why they got bored and quit coming, but it is convenient to blame videos, movies and tv. You would think you could sit through the same movie for 50 years and never get tired.
