"Tusko" became so difficult to handle that in 1924 he was left in quarters.
The two males leading the herd in this parade photo are "Vance" and "Barney"
Astride the horse is elephant boss Red McKay.

This may have been the first time that elephants pulled a steam calliope in parade after Sands, Nathans & Co. did it in 1858-1859.
