I was told that prior to the arrival of the Ringling Show, this had been the Fairgrounds grandstand and they simply restructured the building around the original frame. The wagon behind the center ring is the same band stand used on the road. I saw the show this season and a big fanfare was made over the Vaqueros who did rope spinning and trick riding. Having been raised around circuses that featured the likes of Dal Dever, T.P. Lewis, Hank Linton, Don Beal, Don McClendon, the Rossi brothers, etc. in circus concerts, these were pretty sorry. Buckles
