"Columbia"

1931-33 Wm. P. Hall Animal Farm

"Columbia" died at the Hall Farm in 1933 and in August of 1934 my dad dug up the grave and salvaged the tusks. This is a picture of one that I scanned yesterday. It's just over a foot long with the lower half protruded from the gum while the upper half served to protect the nerve system."

A tusk that long looks like it is from an African.

It would be comparable to Anna May's tusk as seen in last Sunday's picture.
