I came across this photo titled "Harriet Beatty February 1966".Knowing that Mrs. Beatty died in 1950, do you think this may be her daughter, Albina?. I seem to remember someone on the blog mentioning that she used her mothers name for awhile.

Buckles, were these animals hers or the show she worked for? Did her late stepfather have any part in putting this fighting act together?

I remember it as a small act.
Dave Price would probably know more and might even shed light on Mr. Beatty's relationship with his step daughter.

I'm sure there are others who know more of this than I do.

It is my understanding that not only did Mr Beatty not help Albina put her act together but that he did not want her to use his name either.

It is said that she was legally able to use Harriet's name, since she was Harriet's daughter, but she could not use Mr Beatty's name, as in "The daughter of Clyde Beatty."

I have heard that some court ruled on this question but this may not be correct.

Photo, we believe, shows Mrs. Eddie Say working her act in Ocean Arena of The Steel Pier, Atlantic City, NJ, with Atlantic Ocean backgrounding. We saw her in summer-long engagement at pier, owned by George A. Hamid, Sr., who would often use acts from his Hamid-Morton Circus for the seashore venue. Pier advertised its Ocean Arena as being "a mile at sea," where Carver Faily's high-diving horses were heralded atttraction. -- Bill Hall
