What a hoot!! This photo of Lotus has been recycled countless times in circus advertising material. I have a Carson & Barnes herald from the '70s that includes the Lotus head and tail photos.
Coming or going it's a pretty scarey prospect.
I have a rubber stamp of "coming".

The Lotus fore and aft photos were first run in Henry Luce’s “Life Magazine” around 1937.
As noted these photos have been used in many publications by many shows. The only problem with their appearance in the 1946 RBBB press book is that Lotus had been retired by then. She last trouped in 1944. Chester (born in 1935) had taken her place in the menagerie.
