21 cats in one cage, plus ggw with tigers and the elephants. Wow, today with all the downsizing it looks like Ringling will shrink to a show smaller than the original Ringlings took out 140 years ago.

And Charley Baumann and Ursula Bottcher on the other unit!!!!! Shows like that were worth well in excess of 90.00. I am thankful we got of as cheap as we did back then.

Anonymous said...: Back then gas was about 75 cents and everyone was screaming about the price of fuel, but there were fantastic Ringling units and the majority of Shrine dates were very strong and solid from opening till closing.
Today we have $3.50 gas and everyone is screaming about the price, but the gold unit has a about as many performers as Holzmair had lions.
I guess Ringling is forced to downsize the budget in order to pay off ($6.5 million) Charley Smith, ($$$ honcho) who is infamous for his 'sub-navel activities' with the ladies.
