SF World's Fair-5, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. Frank Buck did not have a concession at the San Francisco Fair. However, in 1940, Terrell Jacobs brought in an African Jungle Camp that included 3 baby elephants, 200 monkeys, 50 lions, tigers and leopards, 3 honeybears, camels, zebras, deer, hyenas, donkeys, etc. plus a staff of 17. It was billed as the largest animal show that had ever been assembled under one roof west of the Mississippi.
