Bickles...Eeer Buckles (can't get the Hugo thread out of my mind) not to change the subject..However, I just played Dillon MT. and in the middle of the fairgrounds they had a Tombstone that reads

Pitt
Killed on this spot
by lightning Aug.6 1943
While showing with Cole Bros Circus
Last of of the John Robinson Herd
of performing Military Elephants
Age 102
May God Bless her

Would you have a photo of Pitt??

Hi,
I do research on Circus grave sites and am currently doing two papers one on Showmen's Rests and one on John King, boss animal man for the John Robinson Circus from 1875 to September 27, 1880 when he was crushed by the elephant Chief. I am curious if that circus had a fund set up like the John Carroll fund that buries circus people in Hugo, OK if they need a space and stone. Also anything about the man would be great, too. Or heaven above...a picture would be wonderful.
