Mel Silverlake,
What a great performer to visit with and his circus Fisher Bros. was a real nice small show to with an old time performance.
Fisher Bros. was a true family circus with Brownie, Josephine, Mike Gascar, and a calliope for the music.
Plenty of animals and great painted up trucks and they billed it with plenty of paper.
I have many wonderful memories of this fine circus and i sure wish it was around today for small town America.
I guess when Mel passes on to the big lot he will come back as Gene Autrey or Roy Rogers. When they had a day off you would find Mel at night showing a 16mm cowboy movie on the side of a circus truck.

Speaking of Mike Gasca, does anybody know any news on his brother Leo?

We used to hear from him at Christmas or he'd stop by when he was playing schools but no word for several years.

Yes, Harry, you're right the Silverlake family and shows were great.
