I took 200 ft. of 8-mm color movie film of the Sarasota WQ in March 1955. A number of these 1953 spec floats were lined up in the grass along the northern side of that main paved road that ran from the front entrance east toward the pastures that formed the eastern side of the quarters.
Without re-looking at my film (my projector no longer works) I recall specifically that the red school house was one of them. They looked in pretty good shape after 2years but were seemingly abandoned. I think the wheeled undercarriages had been removed, likely for use on subsequent spec floats.
Thanks, Dom for putting these on the blog.
