Anonymous said...: Victoria Bedini married Orrin Davenport in 1909 and though divorced in 1921, she continued to appear in the Orrin Davenport riding act until 1926. Meanwhile, in 1923 she married clown Joe Coyle, long on Hagenbeck-Wallace in the 1910s-20s. She later re-joined the Bedini family riding act but in the 1930s was in relative Joe Hodgini’s act (managed or often booked by Orrin) that included, among others, Ethel and Freddie Freeman. First husband Orrin (1885-1962) was one of the great riders and the pioneer producer of Shrine circuses. Orrin (named for his grandfather Orrin Hollis, a rider) was the first to perform three successive horse-to-horse somersaults from one horse to a second, to a third horse in line, and then to the ground.
