This is from the 1930 Los Angeles Shrine program. I assume a Barnes elephant from the Mode O'Day in the background- any idea what elephant?

You mentioned Parker Bros carnival, the one out of Kansas I assume? They had a slogan on some of their press. I recall seeing it. It went "Cleanliness claims the conqueror's crown" It was quite a large show back in it's day.
