To Richard Reynolds #1

Now what was the name of the little guy who worked with the Blue show zebras and other hoofed stock? He was around the show a long time and was up in years when I last saw him.

Richard Reynolds

Tommy Henry was one of the toughest old birds I have ever seen. Absolutely invaluable as a "stable master".
One day in a heavy wind one of the door's on the wagons blew open just as Tommy was running by. It whacked him right between the eyes, and knocked him out, and cut his forehead. After reviving him, and making a "butterfly bandage" out of duct tape, Tommy continue without missing a beat.
Another time, he was leading 2 of my camels when they bolted, lifting little Tommy 2 foot off the ground. He looked like a clapper in a bell, swinging between them. I yelled at him let them go as they were heading for the stable. Tommy hung on as the camels ran into the tent, and on either side of the center pole. He continued to hang on as they wrapped him around the pole, and spun around in line and looked at him.
Tommy had a friend in Tampa that he sent all his money to, so that her daughter could go to collage. Heck of a guy.

Great shot. Buckles, when did you start wearing the tux to present? Looks good on you! I remember this man and he was so cute and funny and always busy busy.
Wade, what a great story! The memories you guys have should all be put into a book for future generations of the way it used to be. These stories are what LEGENDS are all about! Tell us more. Now, this is entertainment at it's best and most of it is factual. Wink Wink... Thanks, Karen Glenn

Tommy Henry is one person I have the greatest of respect for. A true stalwart of the ring with a wry sense of humour.Always right there with Jeanette's liberty horses. (Lead horse named Nickle).
Seeing him again brought tears to my eyes. Do we know when he retired(?).
Thank you, Buckles and Wade

Karen, Dear:

This image depicts our Blogmaster in a "full dress" or "evening dress" suit, not a tux.

A Tuxedo or "dinner jacket" includes a short coat, black vest or cummerbund and black bow-tie.

Buckles,
Will it be what it is, or as much fun if we get this hi line that we have a "tux/evening dress code?" Or are we going to disallow a "pig in a tail's and top hat?" LOL
