The statue stands in Saint Thomas, Ontario, Canada, not to far from the spot where Jumbo was struck down by the locomotive of a freight train. It was erected in 1985 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Jumbo's death. The statute was designed by Winston Bronnum Henry
