To John Herriott

Here's a pair of photos—not quite a panorama—of the RBBB ring stock in
1922. Note the arched steel bridge in the background which, with my
alignment, will help viewers comprehend the extent of the ring stock
on the show (viewers can also enlarge the photo by double-clicking on
the image, then click on the "all sizes" icon at the upper left corner
of the new photo, and finally click on any of the "available sizes"
along the top of the final rendering of the photo). They are from an
album of photos by clown Pete Mardo assembled for Mabel Stark's
husband, an usher on the show. Mardo labeled the left (top) image as
"ring stock rosin backs" and the right (bottom) as "ring stock race
horses." Normally, these horses would have been under a tent so Mardo
obviously took advantage of the change to snap these two great photos.
I wonder at the enormity of the number of baggage stock had such an
opportunity presented itself!
