I wonder what kind of warning the newspaper issued for this show on behalf of the Sheriff.

Despite all the heat he carried, Wallace managed to keep his own name on the show for all but a couple of his many seasons and return to the same towns they'd looted before. Maybe he understood better than most that he could get away with a multitude of sins so long as he put on a really good circus. Bailey was "the genius" rivaled by the Ringlings only because there were so many o them. But Wallace wasn't far off the mark. Maybe because he was a rascal he's a little more interesting than W.W.Cole, or the Sells Bros, or the Robinsons, and slicker than 4Paw.; 07 February, 2008 09:39
