The Chief of Police failed to mentioned the $12. Floss and $15. Sno Cones.

It would be cheaper to let your house get robbed than to go the circus.

this is a scary add i can not speak for the USA but in Australia
any crime that has been done is done by someone that has been in the circus for about 2 hours or 2 days and is committed by locals i think in the USA you call them towners and the hard working honest real circus people hav to carry the blame ROBERT PERRY AUSTRALIA

As a boy, I remember having a "circus unit" in grade school before Circus Day. It was still a very big thing then, and schools let out (either early or for the whole day), and many businesses closed since after all, most of the population would be filling the Big Top. That changed very quickly with the advent of TV, but I still remember what Circus Day meant to entire communities at the time.
