What a wonderful picture of some great circus people. Alot of you out there will recall the beautiful, excentic and charming wife of Oscar, Marion.
Give Otto two pie pans and let the fun begin, great to watch perform, as was Marion!

All of the performers shown in this photo were in a class of their own. Would someone comment on the single trap act of La Louisa Cristiani. Never caught it but have heard it was somwthing to behold. Thanks Markeno
MARION & Oscar Cristiani - Daughter Vickie has written a book "Spangles, Elephants, Violets & Me." COMMENTS: A few of us including Fred Pfening, have commented on the book Freds said, "Compelling...I could not put it down!" are totally behind this detailed memoir by Vickie. She tells all going back to the Cristiana Family during the early 1940's on Ringling then Cole Bros, Floyd King, Arnold Maley, and days in Macon, Ga and the Alaska tour..She tells us about that 50's trip from Chicago to L.A. and her accident in L.A. The love story part of the book centers around Benny Rossi. This section is well written and lasting because after all these years they are still man and wife. Learn much more about the Cristiani Family.. And much more..once you start reading the book you won't put it down..First of many full page color ads start with the current issue of BANDWAGON..Lucio Cristiani picture is on the cover and Vickies book ad on the back....Ads and book reviews will be Nov/Dec WHITE TOPs, Circus Report and SPECTACLE..This is the best circus book since "I Love You Honey But the Seasons Over." I call this the circus book with REAL ELEPHANTS....For info: http://www.benros.com Plans are under way for a book tour, signings, banquets, personal appearances during 2008.
This book offers many previously unknown details about what may have been the world's greatest circus family. much better than the previously published cristiani history book. this book shows the people behind the names, told with love and candor. the best circus autobiography i've ever read.
