Johnny, I notice that horse act's of day's gone by, ususally have more elaborate harness then anything you see today. Buckles must have written the explaination to this "group of horse's" photo, and didn't realize that wasn't a horse on the end. I wonder if that guy does a capriolo.

Explaining anything about horses is well beyond my realm of expertise.

Most big shows carried their own "Waxie" or in house harness maker that turned out some pretty nice stuff, plus draft harness, bridles, saddles, etc. at cost only the leather and fittings, plus a very moderate wage for maker. [remember they had cookhouse and birth in bosses car]. However Rhodin got some great harness for all the acts from Europe including those great GSOE headpieces. Also Don McLennon made some real nice elaborate, well made harness, but I agree with Wade as well.

To Wade,
In regards to your remark about the critter on the end,That old saying.

" It takes one to know one"

However that saying can't be true as I must confess I missed that one.

James C. Hall, No apology neccessary. You were probably distracted, by what you wrongly assumed were "neat muzzle's" on the white horses. They are called cavesson's or nose band's. Be safe, friend. Wade Burck

Yes that harness maker down in Puebla, Mex. did a great job and made some really fine harness and head pieces.
