Judging from the clothing and hairstyles, this is more likely the 1940s; note the guy in uniform, suggesting WWII era.

Thanks for the posting. Bill Rost was still working in the new Elephant House in the late 1960s, think he retired in 1970. Background is the Ape House and Chimp Show Arena built in 1941.
Sorry about that, Bill Rost didn't start at zoo until 1931. He joined his brother Phil in the elephant house. Of course this isn't 1919. How silly of me!
