"Richard Reynolds and Bill Strong caught me in yet another error. This is the true "Two Jesters Calliope" whereas the one I submitted earlier was the "Harp and Jesters". Buckles

Most people would surmise that the nickname for this wagon came from the applied decoration. A more subtle inspiration might have been the personas of Tammen and Bonfils. They were among the few that tested the market and management strength of the Ringlings, in print and especially in Denver.
