Any idea who Howard, the apparent owner of the elephants was?
I assume Howard Sueze(sp), who owned Clyde Bros. Circus, out of Edmond, Okla. Mary and Sue were the first elepant's I ever worked with upon joining the circus. They were present by Lou Regan at the time. As I was told, they were named after Mr. Sueze's(sp) daughter Mary Sue, and his wife Ruth. When I joined the show, Ruth was gone, replaced by an elephant named Margie. Mary, Sue, and Margie were 3 wonderful, wonderful, old cow's. They tolerated a young moron from North Dakota, with dignity and grace. Wade Burck
