Sparks Elephants on the move 1920's #2

Scan10121, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Sparks elephants being unloaded (Walter McLain at left), like the Barnes Show, they had a policy that there was no need to march to the lot empty handed. You can see the elephant men in the foreground preparing to put on their harnesses.

Buckles, maybe you'd care to comment on the unusual offset door in the Sparks bull car, quite different than the usual center placement. It would have made construction of the car quite unusual, but not as difficult had Sparks desired it during the wooden car era.

The Sparks Show never had more than nine elephants and at this point, only six of them were large. It's possible that one end of the car was used for storage.
