Beatty-Cole 2007 #1 (From KLSDAD)

Hello to all -
from klsdad-
New York City

Spent the morning at Coney Island watching Cole Bros. set-up. Very tight
quarters near the Wonder Wheel.

Seems the 3 elephants are Hannefords.

I'll go out a couple times later in the week for the performances.

Some of us still call it the Beatty show, if only in our dreams. It's not even Beatty-Cole now. I was on the phone with Clyde, Jr., who thought my ring might have been Johnny Pugh calling to finalize negotiations for paying royalties on the Clyde Beatty name. But it was not to be, and Mr. Beatty's name was not re-painted on Johnny's trucks. His name had been part of every circus title on which he worked since 1935.
