It looks like the Ole' Truck says Cole Circus & in the Bone Yard in less than a Decade ?
Major sure looks Healthy & STRONG
with Decades of Service left in Him

(Sent to Capell Bros. Circus the winter of 1953-54 but died shortly after arrival)

You know how these old-time elephants (and the same can be said for small boys) would always stand in front of a wagon number when pictures were being taken. If no wagons were around they would get between the photographer and the title on a truck.

I wonder if that truck might actually say "Cook and Cole Circus," that gem of yesteryear being an opry taken out in about 1927 by Art (Heritage) Hoffman?

I'm sure all the readers know that most of what left Lancaster came home the first year or two. I believe you had an uncle who learned that the hard way.
