the clown on the right (with the trombone in the air) has hair and looks like joe sherman. could this be joe, or would he have been too young for this pix?

Joe Sherman (Joe Vanni) would have been 14 years old when this picture was taken in 1927. He did not enter show business until 1932 when he was 19 and answered an ad looking for an experienced acrobat to fill an opening in the Kenneth Waite Trio (the third member being Chester Sherman). During the second half of the 1920s, Waite and Chester Sherman were with Robbins Bros.
