Unidentified #4

I come up empty on this one. At first I thought the male was "Nemo" but the autos in the background suggest an earlier vintage.

Buckles,

Could this photo have been taken in the early 1940s after car production was shut down due to WWII? If this isn't Dailey Bros. Nemo, could it have been George of Cole Bros., tho' the animal looks more like the photos I have seen of Nemo than of George?

Just a thought.

The puzzling thing about this picture is that the elephants are staked out in the open.
As you know, on a railroad show the herd was held in line until the menagerie tent was up and they were then staked out inside.
The exception might be a corral menagerie but there appears to be all kinds of room on this lot.

Buckles, I have this same picture I received from Roy Frietsch, CFA, on the back Dailey Tusker Nemo, Dailey Bros Circus, Colorado Springs, Colorado, June 24, 1945
