Sparks Circus #1

Some time after Charlie Sparks sold this show he purchased from Andrew Downie, a motorized show (Downie Bros. Circus) and included in the elephant herd was a beautiful young tusker named "Teddy".
My father, in an endless effort to own his elephant, contacted Mr. Sparks when he heard that "Teddy" was becoming more difficuilt to manage and I have the letter of reply which was very cordial but nothing came of this.
I also have a letter from Jerry Mugivan in response to my dad's effort to buy "Young Snyder". Also a letter from Zack Terrell to whom the matter was referred to since he managed the Sells-Floto Circus that "Snyder" was a part of.

Early Blog this morning since Ben and I have to pick up Dalilah's U-Hall truck at 7:30 for the final day of furniture moving.

Time to stir things up...on the Internet there's a newspaper article regarding the Blue Unit's pie car, the pie car manager has NO IDEA where the term pie car originated. He guesses these two possibilities: in the old days the clowns would make pies and the townspeople would come to the train looking for pies, second story: the clowns are always looking for whipped cream because they are always "pieing" people.

They don't even know their own history. pity...pity...pity. There's a book on eBay for sale, "How to Put On an Amateur Circus", it must be mandatory reading at Fleeced by Feld, Inc.

To the Blue Unit creative team, you probably have plenty of time to read the blog since you are no doubt unemployed by now---7 elephants and 6 tigers and an foot loop walker working solo DOES NOT make the Greatest Show On Earth.

Ah, who cares, the whole world is screwed up anyway.

I once heard a sponsor say to Sid Kellner, "I think we should be allowed to share in the proceeds you make from the concessions!"
Sid replied, "You bet Pal. Have your wives bake a few pies and you can set up a table way out front."

Hello,
I am wondering if the image of Sparks Circus #1 is available for publishing in a magazine? Our State Magazine is publishing an editorial piece on Vade Mecum Mineral Springs once owned by John H. Sparks. We would love to consider the image. Thank you!
