Congo Frank #1

Well known showman Frank Ellis is seen at his quarters near downtown Hugo, Oklahoma in 1955.
Over the years he served as Legal Adjuster, Concessioneer Extrodinaire and Pit Show Proprietor.

"Legal Adjuster?" Oh- you mean a Fixer. Or the old timers called it a "Patch."

Frank was always very nice to me, probably because I never got on his wrong side. Last time I saw him was on the 1968 Carson & Barnes when Jack Moore was very ill and Dorey and Frank came over to keep it moving.

Les Brock told me that Jack had heard I was on the lot and wanted to see me, so I went back to the trailer for a chat. Last time I ever saw Jack too. All the great showmen are leaving us.

Guys like Frank Ellis and Jack Turner were kind of a fixture around Jack Moore and the Millers.
