The Yelding Family #2

During the winter months G.B Chapman ran a Stage Circus and at one time some of the Fossetts were also there, My Dad, Freddy Yelding and brother Victor Julian did a voltage act with two of the Fossett sisters, Margaret & Emmie.

My circus history knowledge is sorely lacking. Always knew of Victor Julian w/ his dogs but not his riding, tumbling background. cc

I didn't start in the circus business until 1970 and only knew Victor Julian with the full dress dogs and remember the odd truck, an English moving van affair. This is the circus history lessons I never got on the road, even with all the jackpots. Without a doubt this blog is much better than TV.

My great grandad stood in as a clown act in his early days. I have just got a copy of his life story he started typing in 1971 he was born 1900. He mentions the yelding family as paying him well. He was an entertainer from Birmingham but travelled all over as a double act including trapeze and “walking the globe” which he built for various people in the entertainment business including twycross zoo founder miss molly badham who trained her chimpanzees on smaller versions of the globe, I can upload a copy if anyone would like a look

Thanks
