Tonight's the night 7:00 at the Ringling Museum.

I have just been notified from a consortium from the Herriott household (including Paul Ingrassia and Fred Pfening) that I was in error this morning.
This evenings festivities will begin with cocktails at 6:30 featuring such circus celebrities as Johnny Pugh and Paul Binder while the big show starts promptly at 7:00.
A suggestion was made that it might be best for me to wear a bullet proof vest.Posted by Picasa

Tell me how to send you a picture &
I can guarantee you'll need a heavy flak jacket! How do I participate in this?

In 1980, I had the privilege of listening to many hours of stories from Gee Gee Engesser about her Husky Act; this is only the second photo I've seen relating to it. She told me about the entrance with the sled, the pyramid... "I worked it like a cat act!" she said. Between these hearty dogs and Gee Gee's pizazz, it must have been something. Does anyone have other pictures of this act?

Buckles...I thought last nights event at the Ringling hororing GeeGee, John Pugh and Paul Binder was a great night for a business that sometimes forgets what a special and compact group it is.

Great showfolks, some seldom seen, took the time to honor three of the very best people the business has ever had.

Carefully directed by the Ringling's effiecient staff and lead by John Herriotts clearly loving memories about all three, staged in the magnificent restored Oslo threatre, I thought it was a great night for a business that does not have of late, a lot of them.

I love being allowed to be a part of the unique circus city's history and people.

The partys, honors, tributes, and wakes the show folks are giving each other out shines any circus on the road today. Maybe they should sell tickets to these events. I for one would buy a reserved seat.
